Section 4: Photograph

We need a photograph of you to assist with any identity verification and to use on the ACRO certificate. This photograph needs to be in the style of a passport photograph and must meet the following criteria:

be a close-up of your full head and upper shoulders
contain no other objects or people
be in clear contrast to the background
be orientated correctly
be in either JPG or PNG format
be at least 600 pixels wide and 750 pixels tall
be at least 50KB and no more than 3MB
have the Live Photo feature turned off if taken on an iPhone

In the photo, you must:

be facing forward and looking straight at the camera
have your eyes open, visible and not obscured by hair in front of your eyes
not have a head covering (unless for religious or medical reasons)
not have anything covering your face
not have any red eye
not have any shadows on your face or behind you
not be wearing sunglasses or tinted glasses (glasses can be worn so long as there are no reflections)
